KCWC Kids Wrestling Club is a chartered club member of USA Wrestling, which is the chief sponsor of Folk style, Greco Roman, and Freestyle Wrestling in the United States. USA Wrestling sponsors wrestling clubs and individuals engaged in wrestling from age 8 and under to the adult level. USA Wrestling is the sponsoring organization for our Olympic wrestling athletes, many of who have enjoyed international success for many years
It is our goal to improve the overall quality of wrestling in the area and teach your children the fundamentals and discipline that wrestling requires. We believe it is the most physically and mentally demanding sport and teaches your child much more than wrestling. Wrestling teaches many skills that can be used throughout your child¡¯s life. Wrestling is not an easy sport and requires desire and dedication to succeed.
KCWC Rules
¡¤ Kids must have homework done before practice
¡¤ Try not to eat a heavy dinner before practice, eat a light snack
¡¤ Kids must be ready on the mat and ready to practice at the scheduled time.
¡¤ Fingernails must be clipped
¡¤ If wearing braces, the child should wear a mouth guard.
¡¤ Please take a shower or bath after each practice. This helps skin condition problems.
¡¤ If your child does develop a skin condition, he must have a permission slip from family doctor or Coach Amrein, or coach Mcgillicuddy before returning to the mat
¡¤ Please do not bring to practice if he is ill.
¡¤ Headgear is required for all tournaments
¡¤ Team singlet should be worn at all tournaments.
